Hi, we’re Jas and Vej! A couple from the UK who met and bonded over our shared love for the outdoors. After a mere couple of months together, we devised what we thought to be an absolutely delusional idea: quitting our 9-5’s to backpack across Latin America. But, after a few years of saving, that’s exactly what we’re currently doing.

We created this space because, believe it or not, we realised that we really enjoy the “boring” parts of travel – research, planning, and the small details that help make every trip happen. Our goal is to share that knowledge we’ve gained and inspire others to seek out destinations that are more often overlooked.

The name Foam and Embers is a nod to two of our greatest loves: the coast and camping. Whenever possible we’re always trying to head towards one of the two, or preferably combining both. So, you’ll find a lot of content here for the South West Coast Path, North Coast 500 and other similar adventures.

We don’t think that we fall under a particular niche, because we enjoy a bit of everything. We’re always mindful of our budget, but we love to treat ourselves every now and then. We also love to go on adventures, but we’re equally as happy to spend the day cafe hopping. Whichever your preference, we hope you’ll find something here to help you on your way.
