What to Pack for the W Trek, Chile

The W Trek in Torres del Paine is one of Patagonia’s most breathtaking hikes, but packing for it can be overwhelming, especially with the unpredictable weather. Whether you’re carrying your own camping gear or opting for the pre-set accommodations, this guide will help you decide what to pack for the W Trek whilst still keeping your pack light.

Backpack & Storage
  • Independent hikers: A 50-65L backpack to carry all your gear, including a tent, sleeping bag, and food
  • Pre-set accommodation hikers: A 30-40L backpack for clothes, toiletries, and essentials since you won’t need to carry camping gear
  • Waterproof dry bags or pack liners to protect your gear from rain
